A brandy is the result of the distillation of wines. Raynal select their brandies from the world famous French wine regions of Burgundy, Bordeaux and Champagne which experience optimal climate for producing the richest wines.
The choice of soil is most important. The wines favoured by Raynal come from a variety of soils ranging from chalky-clay to sandy. It is the combination of these two that ensures the right characteristics for an ideal distillation.
Raynal use mainly white grape varieties like Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc or Colombard which give stronger richness to the finished brandy. Each eau de vie is hand picked by our Master Blender.
