Raynal French Brandy

The Raynal company was founded in 1840 in Jarnac, at the very heart of the cognac region. In 1872, Louis Raynal, the founder’s son, registered Raynal as a brand. The official register shows that Raynal was the fourth brand to be recorded.

The rapid and spectacular growth of Raynal’s business made it necessary to find larger premises. At the turn of the nineteenth century, Raynal moved to the nearby town of Cognac where the company is still located today in a magnificent neo-Renaissance chateau.

Raynal & Cie survived the various historical tragedies and economic disasters which marked the first half of the twentieth century to be in a position to embark on new era of growth after the second World War. As the second half of the twentieth century sped by, Raynal & Cie became more and more specialised in the production and marketing of premium French brandy. This ensured for Raynal’s clear world-wide leadership in the category.
